POLICIES

We will manage this group according to the following policies:

Removing the barrier between this group and beyond, we not only respect research activities of each group, but also extensively collaborate in mutual manners to supplement each other's expertise. By doing so, we aim at, not only deepening our own expertise but also extending the fields of our expertise through mutual interaction.

We will promote discussion among faculties and students who are treated on an equal term with faculties from a viewpoint of scientific research, in order to acquire and deliver outputs of our research activities to the World with our prides, as well as we will make best efforts to raise skills and capabilities of the students not only as researchers or engineers but also as intellectual persons who are willing to contribute to our societies, thereby achieving a goal as an institution of higher education.

We will conduct various research with others in Osaka University, in other Universities, and in other research institutes as much as possible.

We will actively present advances of our research at academic meetings/workshops/symposia/conferences not only in Japan but also on the international level, thereby urging not only faculty members but also students to actively interact with others all over the World, in order to acquire wider perspective and to build up wide spectrum of mutual collaboration which supplements each side, which will lead to further better output of research.

Based on the recognition that it is our students, human resources, not expensive state-of-art equipments for experiments or splendid high-speed computers for computation, that is the most important resources in our group, we conduct research and education, not by just utilizing the human resources for better research outputs, but by simultaneously raising the value of students in many aspects through their activities in reseach projects.

We will not confine our research activity only within Japan, but extend it toward the World, with wider perspective toward the World, based on the World standard. However, we will carefully pay attention to what are better in Japan than its outside, and then, taking full advantages of it, we will further develop and polish things and matters grown in Japan on the international standard.

We will never discriminate members in our group based on his/her race, ethnicity, country/area of origin, nationality/citizenship, gender, age, religion, mother language(s), physical features, ideology(ies) he/she believes in, physical/mental disability, or others which have essentially nothing to do with research and education, but we respect the diversity. We provide appropriate environments for education and research solely based on the judgement on his/her will and action. However, if he/she has a strong will to overcome any hardship, we will provide any assistance needed as long as it is possible.

With regards to interaction with and feed back to societies outside of academia about reseach outputs, we will not confine them within academia, but will open the door wide to the outside societies and promote interaction with the outside, not only related industries but also others, or at least keep having the will of doing so depending on the progress of research.
